1969 Triumph Bonneville T120
On stripping this late model british classic we found the chassis to be a fairly straight forward restoration as it was of relatively low mileage. Unfortunately the engine was not in as good condition.

The pistons had seizure marks, probably due to the aftermarket carbs being incorrectly set up, and the valve guides had become loose allowing the valves to wear the cylinder head. This we sent to a specialist engineering company to be welded and machined back to standard. The bottom end measured up well and was freshened up with new shells and bearings etc. Some new-old-stock pistons were sourced and the engine is now in top notch condition. These bikes were fast, light and handsome.
