1990 SUZUKI RGV250M
This is one of our 2011 restorations. As this was going to be used on a regular basis and as yet, this particular model is not yet that sought after, we were to work to a limited budget,
We have concentrated on making sure that mechanically, the bike is “spot on” and that any items that this time round were re-used, are easily replaced at a later date if the customer requires.
The bike is relatively un-tampered with although stripping the engine prooved the unit was very tired. So after a full crank rebuild, pistons/re nicosil plate on the barrels, and numerous seals, bearings and gaskets along with repainting the outer covers, it not only looked good but was mechanically sound too.
Special requirements for this age bike, amongst others is the “Drab olive passivate” plating we had to replicate on various parts and fasteners.
