1972 KAWASAKI A1 SAMURAI
This is one of our current restoration projects. As you can see this bike came to us in a very poor state. The frame had been modified to take a racing tank and seat, but luckely the customer had already purchased a standard frame with some spares a few years ago.

The engine was stripped, the cases blasted and outer covers polished. The tolerances were checked and found to be good, so with just a set of new piston rings, gaskets and seal set it was rebuilt.

Most of the perished rubber and worn consumable parts had to be sourced from the U.S with some parts coming from YDS Motorcycle parts in Scotland. (see links)

As the wiring loom is no longer available from Kawasaki a new one was built from scratch, luckely the old one was complete but very tatty so it was used as a pattern. Final jobs were to reproduce the silver cables and fit the silencers, its now up and running!
